I just love the colours of this vintage bicycle poster. Maybe because I am partial to red and cream in my own decorating and even in my own wardrobe, not to mention the fact that they are almost unanimously one of the easiest colour combinations to pull off in either your decorating or your wardrobe too.

The rocks to the forefront of ‘Cascading Water IV’ are painted in a light pink colour and seem soft as they have dried in the sun where the water isn’t running over them. However, in the background of the painting, the rocks and the stream are in shadow and they take on a sinister life of their own.

The glistening rocks look like the heads of creatures from the deep, emerging above the water and the painting has captured them just before they open their eyes and wreak havoc on the world!
